Michael Jordan's Steakhouse Burger

I was out yesterday shopping and strolling down Michigan Avenue.  After a few hours hunger pangs hit so I did what I usually do and looked for a place to grab a bite.  I decided on Michael Jordan's Steakhouse (The Bar).  To my surprise when I got the menu....My favorite burger was back.  It's a little different but the brisket and short rib is back in the mix with a little chuck added in.  I was so happy because this is the burger that started me on my burger quest.  The mix of meats give this burger an unctuous flavor.  The bun is a bit different but still good (it's no longer that buttery bun) and the fries deserve a feature of their own.  They are the perfect size (the size of a pencil) and perfectly fried with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and parsley.  The burger is $15 and is 10oz of delicious beefiness.

Mity Nice Burger

This is my first post but not my first review.  Mity Nice Chicago passes the test.  My husband and I were invited to lunch with a good friend of ours the other day.  I'm on a diet but I couldn't help myself.  Burger was on the menu so I had to order it.  When the food came it looked so good that I dug in and ate the whole thing.  I ordered the Frisky Burger.  It's peppercorn crusted, topped with blue cheese and fried onions.  I ate half with the bun but began to fill up so I ate the other half with a knife and fork without the top bun.  Every bite of the burger by itself is packed with flavor.  It had that beefy savory flavor with a hint of char and pepper. The blue cheese is mild and doesn't over power the burger.  The lettuce and tomato was typical, iceberg lettuce and a slice of beef steak tomato but they didn't get in the way either. Now on to the fries.  You have a choice of home made potato chips, regular fries or sweet potato fries.  I went for the sweet potato fries.  They are cut shoestring which I love. They were crispy and chewy at the same time.

Here's the funny thing.  I was so hungry I ate the burger before I took a picture of it.  I asked our waiter if she could snag a photo for me on the next burger order from the kitchen.  She asked what I wanted it for and without knowing what my verdict was she and the manager ordered another burger for me just to take a photo.  I have to mention that my opinion was not swayed by this gesture and this one looks just likethe one I gobbled up.  I think she knew that I loved the burger by my clean plate.

I love the Mity Nice Chicago Frisky Burger. Perfectly flavored and cooked to a medium! And the fry report comes up sweet with the sweet potato fries.

Until my next burger quest!
